Toni Bradshaw is a member of the New Zealand Womens Road Cycling Team. In 2005 she rode in the Team at the World Championships in Madrid, Spain as well as the Oceania Games in Wanganui. Toni was selected for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March 2006. Toni spends 6 months per year racing in Europe in Womens World Cups and the most prestigious womens tours.
Toni first represented New Zealand in Triathlon, but soon found her strength to be cycling. Soon after making the switch to just cycling Toni became a member of the New Zealand team racing in the USA and then Europe in the past couple of years.
This year she will again be based in Limoux, France racing for the New Zealand Womens Cycling team for 6 months.
Whilst not overseas Toni lives in Auckland. Around her time cycling she also manages to work as a Physiotherapist and is also a talented artist.
2006 is Commonwealth Games Year for New Zealanders and Toni Bradshaw is anxiously awaiting the announcement of New Zealands Games Squad for the Road Race. Has she done enough to satisfy the selectors? Watch this space!!!
My wife Linda and I absolutely wish you every success in the up-coming common-wealth games. I do a bit of cycling mainly for health purposes and while out cycling the rugged Ihumatao/airport flat circut, hahahahahaha I came across a couple of ladies who cycled with me the last few kilometers to my home in Onehunga. Probably concerned I looked like I may have a heart attack or something? When we arrived outside my house in Onehunga Mall, they shared with me that you live up the road about 9 houses in fact and suggested we follow your journey at the games. So Linda and I and a few neighbours are over the moon knowing a commonwealth games athlete lives close by. So we in the neighbour-hood are following your success closely and your exploites in Europe. My wife and I just came back from Belgium (my wife is Belgium) where I did a lot of cycling along the kilometers of cycle highways they have throughout Belgium.
Who would fly with the tiny wings of a sparrow when we can SOUR with the mighty wings of Toni Bradshaw. Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole
